How this site works
We're a small team trying to make NYC junk removal less of a black box — clear prices, an honest list of who's out there, and straight answers on how to get rid of specific things.
How we build the directory
We research providers serving New York City from public sources — company websites, Google, Yelp, BBB — and from official records, including the NYC Business Integrity Commission's licensed trade-waste hauler registry. Where a company holds a city license, we show its BIC number, because licensing and insurance are real signals of who you can trust.
How we rank
Every company is scored on the same transparent criteria:
- Upfront pricing — published prices or an instant quote vs. phone/onsite-estimate only.
- Licensing & insurance — verified against the NYC BIC registry where applicable.
- Same-day availability and the range of items/services handled.
- Customer ratings — real, linked aggregate ratings, never invented.
About the prices we show
Junk-removal pricing depends heavily on volume, access, and item type, so we publish sourced ranges with the date we checked — not invented exact figures. Always confirm the current price with the provider.
